Kaye trio. At 17, she was performing as a part of this talented group on a regular basis in the Hippodrone Theatre at the recently opened Circus Circus moving on to do a tour in Hawaii at the invitation of Don Ho. Norman Kaye taught important lessons to the Ambassadors at a very young age like timing, not over singing a song, and most importantly making an audience enjoy themselves. Later, she returned and joined Wolfticket, an all original band who with their combined talents opened for such acts as Steely Dan and Boz Skaggs. In 2011, Joni was inducted into the Las Vegas Roll and Roll Hall of Fame.
In the early 90s Joni performed in such hotels as the Flamingo Hilton, The Riviera and The Sahara Casbah lounge. She continued to work in nightclubs throughout the city. While performing at the Flamingo Hilton one evening, turns out the extraordinary Nancy Wilson was in the house. Security came to Joni’s dressing room and told her Nancy Wilson would like to meet her. Ms. Wilson told Joni she had class, talent and style. Joni was very proud of that moment.
Having an extensive, diverse retrepriore, she performs all styles of music from Country, Pop Tunes, to some of the finest Classics and Standards performed by the Greats. Her greatest pleasure is seeing an audience smile; and that, she does very well.
